Curtis Stone is a restaurateur, celebrity chef, and author who was born in Australia and currently resides in the United States. It is his countless television appearances in the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom as well as his restaurants in California, Maude and Gwen, that have brought him the most of his fame.
The Professional Life and Restaurants of Curtis Stone
In 2014, Stone opened his first restaurant, Maude, in the Beverly Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. The restaurant was given the name Maude after the patron’s grandmother and features an exclusive setting with just 24 seats and a tasting menu consisting of ten courses.
During the first four years of operation, the menu was created each month around a featured seasonal food that changed, and that ingredient was featured in each of the courses. However, beginning in 2018, menus have been designed with the culture, terroir, and product of several wine-growing regions serving as their primary sources of inspiration, with a new star wine being chosen every four months.
Since its opening, Maude has been a smashing success, earning the title of Restaurant of the Year from Los Angeles Weekly in 2014. In addition to that, it was given a star by Michelin in the 2019 California Guide, which lauds the “creative investigation of the profound link between cuisine and drink.”
After the success of Maude, in 2016, Stone opened Gwen, a butcher shop and restaurant in Hollywood that was a collaboration with Stone’s brother Luke. The butcher’s shop is at the center of the venue and supplies a variety of premium and rare breed meats, as well as charcuterie and gourmet sausages that are made in-house on a daily basis. These items are available to the general public as well as the restaurant. The meat was humanely raised and butchered, and it did not include any hormones. It was purchased directly from ranchers and other suppliers of high-quality meat.
The restaurant itself pays homage to the bounty provided by the butcher’s shop through both its menu and its surroundings. The restaurant features meat that is hung in glass dry-age rooms above the classic Hollywood glamor of the dining room, and whole animals that are roasted over a fire pit at the front of the establishment. Diners have the option of ordering from either a tasting menu consisting of ten courses or a á la carte menu including feast-style preparations of fire-cooked meat.
Stone is also involved in the operation of the maritime eatery Share in conjunction with Princess Cruises. Share is a dining experience that is offered on the cruise ships Ruby Princess and Emerald Princess. It consists of a six-course tasting menu that makes use of excellent foods from both land and sea.

Maude is the name of the first restaurant that the great chef Curtis Stone opened in 2014. He built it in Beverly Hills in 2014 and called it after his maternal grandmother, with whom he learned how to cook when he was a little boy. Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant, which he and his brother opened in 2016, has been recognized with a number of awards, including “Restaurant of the Year,” and “Most Beautiful Restaurant in the Country.” These two prizes were presented in 2017.

Stone became a TV chef after working as a chef in restaurants for a while, and he focused his career exclusively on television for the next decade or so. He has appeared on a wide variety of television programs, such as Martha Stewart’s show Martha, Access Hollywood, Rachael Ray, MasterChef Australia, Saturday Kitchen in the UK, and on a regular basis on NBC News Today. His list of television credentials is enormous. He has served as the host of a number of different cooking competitions, such as Top Chef Masters, Around the World in 80 Plates, Kitchen Inferno, and both the American and Australian adaptations of My Kitchen Rules. Additionally, he has served as a member of the judging panel for America’s Next Great Restaurant and has competed in Iron Chef and The Celebrity Apprentice 3.
On November 4th, 1975, Curtis Stone was born in the city of Melbourne, which is located in Australia. His father, Bryan Stone, is a certified public accountant. One of the few things that is known about his childhood is that his grandmother taught him how to cook when he was only four years old.
He received his education at Victoria University before embarking on a professional career. After being together for a number of years as a couple, he tied the knot with American actress Lindsay Price in 2013. They have two sons of their own.

The reality is that the culinary business has experienced significant expansion. When I first started out in the culinary world, there were many different places you could work as a chef. You could work in a restaurant, a hotel, a food service, a catering business, or anything else. However, that was more or less it. And if you take a closer look at it now, you’ll notice that there are private chefs working everywhere. There are individuals working in the food media. Food stylists are available. Home economists are also available. There are people who test recipes. It has truly seen a significant amount of alteration. In places where there were only one or two levels of restaurants before, there are now ten levels.
First, you need to create a plan for the next ten years. Where do you see yourself in the next ten years? Do you have aspirations of running your own restaurant? Do you have aspirations of managing a Four Seasons hotel in some part of the world? Do you want to be a dad? Do you wish to have a lot of money? Do you have no interest in monetary matters? Create a clear mental image of everything, and then prioritize some of the items on that list. And once you’ve done that, think about the craft that you already have and how you got to that position in your career.
