Josh Forbes is Winch+Pulley.

There's nobody else.

apparently this has been the source of some confusion. Several years ago, when I bought the domain name, I had intended to make Winch+Pulley a collective along the lines of Hammer and Tongs, Traktor, or Commondeer. That didn't completely happen. I have collaborated with a lot of brilliant people, but they all have chosen to retain autonomy instead of being absorbed into my little club.

So I'm left with this cool name that seems to confuse people. I assure you, it's just Josh Forbes. Winch+Pulley is Josh Forbes. Y'know, like how Nine Inch Nails is really just Trent Reznor. Or the Dave Matthews band is...oh wait...that doesn't work.

The point is: Josh Forbes = Winch+Pulley.

So, the next time someone asks you "but isn't Winch+Pulley a massive collective of insane geniuses?" You can proudly answer, "Nope. Just one big dope named Josh Forbes."
